At Lemak Households, we are committed to ensuring that your orders are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time. This Shipping Policy outlines our delivery methods, timelines, charges, and conditions.
1. Delivery Areas
We deliver across Nairobi, surrounding areas, and nationwide within Kenya.
2. Delivery Options
a. Nairobi and Surrounding Areas
- Method: Delivery by our in-house riders
- Payment: Cash on Delivery (COD) accepted
- Delivery Time: Same-day or next-day delivery depending on order time and availability
- Confirmation: Our team will contact you prior to dispatch for delivery arrangements
b. Pickup Mtaani Locations
- Method: Delivery to designated Pickup Mtaani points
- Payment: Prepayment required
- Delivery Time: 1–2 working days after order confirmation
- You will be notified once your order is ready for collection
c. Upcountry / National Delivery
- Method: Third-party courier services (e.g., G4S, Wells Fargo, Fargo Courier, etc.)
- Payment: Prepayment required before dispatch
- Delivery Time: 2–4 business days depending on location
- Courier tracking information is shared once dispatched
- Delivery is made to the nearest courier office or collection point
3. Shipping Charges
- Shipping costs vary based on your location and delivery method
- Charges are communicated at checkout or upon order confirmation
4. Order Processing
- Orders are processed between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday
- Orders confirmed after 4:00 PM may be processed the following day
- Orders placed on Sundays or public holidays are processed on the next business day
5. Delivery Confirmation
You will be notified via call, SMS, or WhatsApp once:
- Your order is dispatched
- The rider is en route
- The item is ready for pickup (for Pickup Mtaani or courier delivery)
6. Delivery Terms
- Customers must be available at the agreed delivery location and time
- Lemak Households is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect delivery details, customer unavailability, or third-party courier delays
- Once the package is handed over to a third-party courier, risk and responsibility shift to the customer
